[Remote] Backend Developer (Philippine Based Candidates)

They are seeking an experienced Backend Developer responsible for maintaining and enhancing web applications, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring security and compliance with SOC2 requirements.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Maintain and enhance existing web applications built with React and Vue.js
ā¢ Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure
ā¢ Configure and maintain security, DNS, and performance using Cloudflare and related services
ā¢ Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes
ā¢ Collaborate with developers to deploy updates, patches, and new features
ā¢ Automate deployment pipelines and optimize CI/CD processes
ā¢ Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of web applications
ā¢ Document infrastructure setups, deployment procedures, and maintenance tasks
ā¢ Send daily end-of-day reports on tasks worked, pending items to be addressed, wins and help needed if any, among other updates in relation to tasks assigned
ā¢ Communicate directly with the Chief of Staff, CEO, clients, and stakeholders to manage projects and translate these into smart goals for the team
ā¢ Attend scheduled meetings to provide project and task updates
ā¢ Help support and lead the security and compliance requirements of the company and the client, such as adherence to SOC2
ā¢ Build scalable backend systems that power our website/platform
ā¢ Integrate backend services with Webflow (and potentially other no-code/low-code tools such as Lovable)
ā¢ Design, implement, and maintain database solutions using Supabase or similar backend-as-a-service technologies
ā¢ Provide technical guidance and communicate backend architecture solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
ā¢ Support hiring requirements, such as screening developers when needed
Skills
ā¢ At least 5 years of experience as a backend web developer
ā¢ Good English communication skills
ā¢ Proven ability to set clear goals, communicate effectively with all stakeholders, and deliver results
ā¢ Experience with Security and Compliance, such as SOC2 and Vanta
ā¢ Ability to understand and manage DNS, experience with GoDaddy, Cloudflare, and DigitalOcean
ā¢ Advanced knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), HTML, CSS, and experience with different programming languages and technologies
ā¢ Advanced knowledge of frontend and backend frameworks such as Vue.js 3, Tailwind, Vite and AdonisJS 5
ā¢ Advanced knowledge of databases, specifically Postgres, Redis, and MongoDB (both SQL and NoSQL)
ā¢ Advanced knowledge of Git using Bitbucket and Jira and CI/CD pipeline implementations
ā¢ Experience in deploying websites using tools like Dokku, Docker, and docker-compose
ā¢ Familiarity with the Agile Framework and Secure Development best practices
ā¢ Capacity to explain technical terms and processes to non-technical individuals and work effectively in teams
ā¢ A ready and available portfolio or GitHub account for review during the interview process
ā¢ Well-rounded and adaptable, with a strong willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and the flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and technologies
ā¢ Hands-on experience with Webflow integrations, Supabase, or similar platforms
ā¢ Ability to discuss and plan end-to-end system architecture for a growing platform
ā¢ Must be able to accommodate changes in schedule depending on stakeholders' availability
ā¢ Experience supporting US or offshore clients as a developer is a plus
ā¢ Knowledge of AWS, Python, PHP, C#, and CMS frameworks like WordPress, Shopify, etc
ā¢ Experience in end-to-end testing using frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright and Puppeteer
ā¢ Experience in QA testing
ā¢ Familiarity with no-code/low-code platforms is a plus
