[Remote] AWS Engineer/ AWS Lead

They are seeking a highly skilled AWS Engineer to design, implement, and manage their cloud infrastructure, ensuring systems are scalable, resilient, and secure. Responsibilities • Architect and deploy scalable, high-availability, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate resource provisioning • Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines to support seamless software delivery • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (CloudWatch, Prometheus) to ensure system health and optimize performance • Monitor cloud spend and implement bolthires-saving strategies like Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and resource right-sizing • Design and test backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity Skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • 5+ years of experience managing production workloads in AWS • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator • Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies • Deep expertise in EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, and IAM • Experience with orchestration platforms like bolthires ECS or EKS (Kubernetes) • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, or Go) for automation tasks • Strong understanding of cloud networking (Subnets, VPNs, Direct Connect, Load Balancers) • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB) • Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure or GCP) • Knowledge of serverless architecture and event-driven design • Familiarity with third-party monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk • Big-4 or top tierProfessional Services experience is a plus Company Overview • Orion Innovation is an IT services and solutions provider helping organizations with Digital Transformation services.It was founded in 1993, and is headquartered in Edison, New Jersey, USA, with a workforce of 5001-10000 employees.
