[Remote] Auto Telephone Claims Representative - National General

The Auto Telephone Claims Representative is responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for automobile accidents, determining coverage and liability, and negotiating claims within their authority. Responsibilities For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department Handles investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority Skills Investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents Determining coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusting and negotiating claims within limit of authority Partnering with assigned reps from fraud or subrogation areas to achieve best outcome Recognizing and identifying body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage Identifying customer needs and working to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills Determining subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle Applying intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department Handling investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority Bilingual English/Spanish is desired but not required Company Overview As part of the Allstate family of companies, National General, an Allstate company, is one of the largest insurers in the United States.
