Remote Associate Network Security Engineer - Delta Airlines

In this role, you'll be responsible for providing design services and support to ensure the functional sustainability of our critical infrastructure that supports Delta's applications, clients, partners, and vendor accessibility and security. You'll be working closely with our IT InfoSec Organization Security Group, which is responsible for providing IT support for internal, partner, merchant, and external network access to Delta and tenant applications across multiple critical data center systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing network security solutions to protect our critical infrastructure
Providing IT support for firewall hardware and software maintenance, including site implementations, inventories, foundation planning, preventive maintenance, and break/fix services
Collaborating with Delta's business divisions to provide consultation services for firewall policies and access control guidance
Ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards and regulations
Project managing data center and remote communication room standards, capital enhancements, upgrades, and improvements

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Strong understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols
Experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
