[Remote] Associate Director, Network Operations

Akkodis is seeking an Associate Director of Network Operations to guide the strategic direction and performance of Carrier’s Global Network Operations. This role involves leading a high-performing team, driving network modernization initiatives, and ensuring the stability and security of global enterprise networks. Responsibilities • Own the stability, security, and scalability of global enterprise networks (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, firewalls) across cloud and on-prem environments • Define and drive network modernization initiatives including automation, zero-trust architecture, performance engineering, and resiliency • Lead a high-performing team of network engineers; set technical standards, enforce accountability, and develop engineering talent • Act as top-tier escalation and incident commander for critical network events, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal business impact • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, DevOps, and Business Operations to support hybrid, high-growth environments • Implement ITIL-based processes for incident, change, and problem management to ensure operational excellence • Champion firewall policy enforcement, segmentation, and secure remote access strategies • Define and report operational KPIs (uptime, MTTR, change success rates) to leadership, driving transparency and continuous improvement Skills • Bachelor's Degree • 5 years of experience in network operations • 5 years of experience in switching/routing/wireless and firewall/VPN technologies • 3 years of experience in operating key processes including incident, change and problem management • 3 years of experience as a team lead either with matrixed team members or direct reports • Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCDP • Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, or similar) • Enterprise wireless experience across office, manufacturing, and distribution environments • Cloud networking experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI • Familiarity with advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) Benefits • Medical/Dental/Vision • 401K • PTO/Paid Holidays Company Overview • Akkodis provides digital engineering solutions for sustainable and innovative industries.It was founded in undefined, and is headquartered in Zug, Zug, CHE, with a workforce of 10001+ employees.
