[Remote] Associate Director | Financial Controller | US Remote

The Associate Director | Financial Controller will drive effective financial management and advisory support for the business unit, collaborating with project managers and leading a team to ensure excellence in financial decision-making and project performance. Responsibilities • Collaborating with Project Managers to help drive project performance and ensure that high quality financial decisions are made on the project • Providing objective financial advice and opinions that positively impact the future of the project and associated plan • Providing objective challenge regarding spend plans and take a proactive role in looking for opportunities to deliver services more efficiently and effectively • Investigating opportunities as well as high risk and material financial issues, or problem areas, on the projects • Developing and proposing solutions and options to resolve/progress concerns to a satisfactory outcome • Managing a large team (or several) of senior direct reports, demonstrating effective leadership to ensure excellence in delivery against plans, championing a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities • Working closely with the commercial team to provide forward looking insight and challenge, adding demonstrable value through delivering business insight • Influencing and challenging financial plans, supporting the production of financial budgets, forecasts and analysis and acting as a critical adviser on key financial decisions • Reviewing financial performance information and plans, (prepared by the Project Manager) including the Financial Plan, budgeting and forecasting, to ensure they are robust and accurately reflect key project issues • Ensuring good cost control and cost management behaviour on projects.
