They are seeking Applied AI Systems Engineers to design and implement AI-driven solutions, integrating various data systems and workflows to deliver business impact.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build AI‑native solutions that integrate frontier models, data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise contentRapidly prototype applied AI solutions and evolve them into production‑ready systemsBuild and connect retrieval systems, embedding pipelines, and structured/unstructured data flowsIntegrate AI capabilities into real workflows with measurable business impactWork across product, data, and engineering boundaries to identify and solve high‑leverage problemsSkills1–5+ years of experience in software engineering, applied AI, or data‑centric systemsExperience using Python or TypeScript in building real systems that connect APIs and servicesExperience using Python or TypeScript in building real systems that connect Databases and/or unstructured contentExperience using Python or TypeScript in building real systems that connect Data pipelines or ETL workflowsFamiliarity with modern AI/ML concepts, including LLMs, embeddings, and retrievalComfort operating without perfect specs — you can identify problems, propose solutions, and shipAbility to distinguish demo‑quality work from production‑viable systemsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)Hands‑on work with retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) or embedding pipelinesExposure to graph databases or complex data relationshipsFamiliarity with frontier LLMs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.)A portfolio of personal or professional AI projects you can discuss deeplyBenefitsAnnual discretionary bonusCompany OverviewEpiq Systems provides legal process outsourcing (LPO) services in the United States and internationally.
