Job Overview:
The Application Support Engineer role involves:
Troubleshooting in-house and 3rd party applications, data mining, report building, and complex queries
Collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve high-severity incidents
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with business partners to identify pain points and improve services
Communicating updates and progress to key stakeholders, ensuring timely resolutions and exceeding customer expectations
Participating in on-call and escalation rotations, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to customer satisfaction
Responsibilities:
As an Application Support Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading complex troubleshooting and incident resolutions, leveraging your technical expertise and collaboration skills
Demonstrating superior customer service, measured by customer surveys and satisfaction ratings
Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including root cause analysis and issue resolution
Collaborating with engineering teams, business analysts, and project managers to drive issue resolution and process improvements
Developing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Logi, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
5+ years of application support experience in a production environment, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC)
Technical expertise in SQL, Oracle, XML, JSON, PL/SQL, and C#
Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Experience working in supply chain, WMS, WCS, WES, or other relevant positions (preferred)
