[Remote] API Tester

The API Tester role involves testing FHIR RESTful APIs and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards while leveraging strong analytical and debugging skills. Responsibilities • Strong understanding of FHIR resources (Coverage, Claim, Prior Authorization, Patient, Practitioner, Encounter, etc.) • Experience testing FHIR RESTful APIs (CRUD operations, search parameters, includes/rev-includes) • Familiarity with FHIR Implementation Guides (IGs) such as: Da Vinci PAS (Prior Authorization Support), Da Vinci CRD (Coverage Requirements Discovery), Da Vinci DTR (Documentation Templates & Rules) • Knowledge of HL7 v2 / X12 278 (for prior auth workflows) • Understanding terminologies (SNOMED CT, ICD-10, CPT, LOINC) • Hands-on experience with: Postman / Newman, SoapUI, Swagger / OpenAPI, Scription Knowledge like JavaScript • Ability to validate: JSON schemas, HTTP status codes, Authentication flows (OAuth2, SMART on FHIR) • Writing automated regression suites for FHIR endpoints • Good to have automation skills • Ability to work with synthetic test data & de-identification rules • Familiarity with payers, providers, and EHR workflows • Knowledge of CMS interoperability rules related to APIs and PA • Strong analytical & debugging skills • Ability to interpret technical specifications & IGs • Documentation skills for test evidence and compliance audits • Writing clear, traceable test cases and test scenarios and able to log the defect in ALM tools • API Load & performance testing working experience Skills • Strong understanding of FHIR resources (Coverage, Claim, Prior Authorization, Patient, Practitioner, Encounter, etc.) • Experience testing FHIR RESTful APIs (CRUD operations, search parameters, includes/rev-includes) • Familiarity with FHIR Implementation Guides (IGs) such as: Da Vinci PAS (Prior Authorization Support), Da Vinci CRD (Coverage Requirements Discovery), Da Vinci DTR (Documentation Templates & Rules) • Knowledge of HL7 v2 / X12 278 (for prior auth workflows) • Understanding terminologies (SNOMED CT, ICD-10, CPT, LOINC) • Hands-on experience with Postman / Newman • Hands-on experience with SoapUI • Hands-on experience with Swagger / OpenAPI • Scripting Knowledge like JavaScript • Ability to validate JSON schemas • Ability to validate HTTP status codes • Ability to validate Authentication flows (OAuth2, SMART on FHIR) • Writing automated regression suites for FHIR endpoints • Data & Validation • JSON parsing and validation • Ability to work with synthetic test data & de-identification rules • Familiarity with payers, providers, and EHR workflows • Knowledge of CMS interoperability rules related to APIs and PA • Strong analytical & debugging skills • Ability to interpret technical specifications & IGs • Documentation skills for test evidence and compliance audits • Writing clear, traceable test cases and test scenarios and able to log the defect in ALM tools • API Load & performance testing working experience • Good to have automation skills Benefits • Comprehensive benefits Company Overview • Emids is a digital engineering partner helping healthcare and life sciences build AI solutions, modernize platforms and improve outcomes.It was founded in 1999, and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
