Key Responsibilities
As an Alarm Monitoring Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in our operations center. Your responsibilities will include:


Emergency Response Coordination: Verify, respond to, and dispatch emergency signals promptly and accurately. You will be responsible for assessing situations and coordinating with police, fire, and other emergency agencies to ensure the fastest possible response times.
Inbound Call Management: Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently. You will handle inquiries, provide information, and address customer concerns with empathy and precision.
Alarm Verification and Dispatch: Master the different types of alarm signals and their respective standard operating procedures. Become proficient in verifying alarms and dispatching appropriate responders to police and fire agencies.
Customer Notification: Notify customers of non-emergency signals in a timely and courteous manner. Ensure customers are informed about their system status and any relevant updates.
Emergency Responder Coordination: After dispatching emergency services, notify responders on-site and provide them with critical information they need to act effectively.
Account Management: Process basic data changes to customer accounts with accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain customer records and ensure information is current and secure.
Multi-Location Signal Handling: Handle signals from various locations and TTY (Text Telephone) stations, ensuring accessibility for all customers, including those with hearing or speech impairments.
Compliance and Licensing: Obtain and maintain necessary licensing to work in all states that mandate requirements for alarm monitoring operators.
Policy Adherence: Stay informed about organizational goals, company policies, central station procedures, and industry best practices. Meet or exceed minimum productivity and quality standards set for your role.
Flexible Scheduling: Work weekend, holiday, and shift schedules as required. Be available for mandatory overtime when needed to support our 24/7 operations.


Training and Development

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
One to three months of related experience OR relevant training/certification preferred
Must be licensed to work in all states mandating requirements
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed


Knowledge Requirements

Solid understanding of computer operations and Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with Internet navigation and online tools
Knowledge of company policies, procedures, guidelines, and industry best practices
Basic understanding of VIP accounts and departmental operations

Work Environment
This is a remote position, giving you the flexibility to work from home. However, please note that classroom and on-the-job training will be conducted onsite at our facility. This training period is essential to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your role.

Once trained, you'll have the convenience of working in your home office while remaining connected to your team through advanced communication and monitoring technologies. You'll be supported by our experienced supervisors and team leads who are dedicated to helping you thrive.
