Position Overview

We are currently seeking detail-oriented professionals to fill Remote Actuarial Analyst positions. Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of our actuarial team, you will be responsible for:


Risk Assessment: Understand the nature of specific risks and provide consequences analysis to management. You'll evaluate potential risks facing the organization and develop comprehensive reports that help leadership make informed decisions about risk mitigation strategies.

Rate Filing: Organize and analyze filing data, then prepare and submit required exhibits for regulatory filings. This involves working closely with compliance teams to ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards and deadlines.

Reserve Analysis: Analyze claims data and monitor reserve levels for appropriateness. You'll demonstrate a thorough understanding of actuarial reserving methods and issues, ensuring financial accuracy and stability.

Planning and Forecasting: Provide technical support and analysis for planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. You'll contribute to annual budget planning and develop predictive models that guide strategic decision-making.

Pricing, Trend and Benefit Design: Develop and recommend pricing and trend analysis for products and benefits. You'll work with product teams to design competitive benefit packages that meet market demands while maintaining profitability.

Technical Capability: Foster innovative technical solutions for various challenges. This includes demonstrating proficiency with spreadsheets and knowledge of database and online applications. You'll create and implement appropriate tools and models while developing and resolving business requirements and specifications for processes, tools, and systems.


Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following educational requirements (see training section) and demonstrate a willingness to relocate to a recognized actuarial hub if required. We're looking for candidates who are passionate about data analysis and committed to excellence in their work.

Education Requirements

Candidates must meet the educational requirements for this position. Relevant degrees in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields are preferred. Successful completion of actuarial exams is a plus but not required for entry-level positions.
