Remote Accounts Receivable Manager
Department: Accounts ReceivableStatus: Full-TimeType: Fully RemoteSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM PST
We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and optimize the AR function at Vert Environmental.
In this role, you’ll oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, from invoicing to collections and reporting, while managing a team of AR specialists. You’ll be responsible not only for day-to-day operations but also for improving processes, strengthening internal controls, and driving overall AR performance.
This role is a strong fit for someone who combines leadership with hands-on execution and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Lead and oversee all AR operations, including invoicing, collections, payment processing, and reconciliationsManage, train, and develop the AR team, including performance and workload oversightDrive collections strategy, including follow-ups, escalations, negotiations, and agency involvementEnsure timely invoicing, payment collection, and resolution of billing discrepanciesMaintain accurate financial records, including invoices, payments, and account documentationMonitor aging reports and take action to reduce outstanding balancesPrepare and present regular AR and collections reports to leadershipCollaborate with leadership, external CFO, and cross-functional teams on financial operationsOversee credit evaluations, credit memos, and account risk managementReconcile payments (ACH, credit card, deposits) and ensure accurate postingManage lien releases and ensure compliance with required documentationSupport the month-end close processes related to accounts receivableImprove AR workflows, systems, and policies to increase efficiency and accuracyLead team meetings and ensure alignment with company financial goalsMaintain confidentiality and stay up to date with best practices and regulations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field2+ years of experience managing Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable functionsStrong experience with invoicing, collections, and AR reportingProficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of AR processes, internal controls, and collections strategiesProven ability to manage and develop a teamExcellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused approachStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh level of integrity when handling financial dataExperience working with US-based clients and business practicesComfortable working remotely and aligned with PST hours
