We are seeking an exceptional Accounting & HR Assistant to join our team on a remote basis, working closely with our Director of Finance & HR to handle financial tasks and support the organization's mission.
Job Overview:
As an Accounting & HR Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, including:
Accounts Payable: vendor maintenance, W9s, and other related tasks
Ensuring scholarship payments are processed correctly and efficiently
Accounts Receivable: invoicing, past due reports, collections, and processing receivables into Intacct
Issuing donor tax acknowledgement paperwork and reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements
Processing expense reports and reimbursements, and maintaining accurate records
In-kind inventory control and distribution, as well as other duties as assigned
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field)
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, with nonprofit experience highly desired
Experience with accounting software, particularly Sage - Intacct, is strongly preferred
Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask
Strong finance, accounting, and bookkeeping skills, with ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
