Key Responsibilities
Prepare individual and business tax returns for federal, state, and local agencies as needed.
Maintain tax records, returns, schedules, and related reports.
Review and prepare financial statements for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Update and maintain accounting records and files systematically.
Enter accounting data into relevant databases.
Build and cultivate professional relationships with clients, addressing their financial inquiries.
Conduct month-end and year-end closures along with tax reports.
Implement new accounting policies and ensure adherence to regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication proficiency.
Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Capacity to manage substantial data volumes effectively.
In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.
Proactive with a strong focus on deadlines and independent work.
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, including QuickBooks.
Familiarity with various accounting practice management tools such as Fixed Assets, Practice CS, and AdvanceFlow.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of recent public accounting experience.
EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is preferred.
