Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized contract Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, preparing accurate reports, and supporting overall financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Keep reading if you are have the ability to answer questions clearly, communicate effectively and take responsibility for deliverables on time. • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and statements. • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and reconciliations. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Manage all tax, SSA, SOS, IRS filings • Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and assist with tax preparation and filings. • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. • Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - certification required unless you are a recent graduate who has a Certified Accountant you are practicing under and you will maintain this relationship with the certified person across our contract work. • Proven experience as an Accountant, tax clerk, Book keeper. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices (GAAP/IFRS). • Proficiency in Quickbooks. • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Strong analytical and communication abilities. • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
