[Remote] Account Executive - SMB

The Account Executive - SMB role is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing client relationships and promoting SPINS' solutions to maximize client impact and profitability.ResponsibilitiesIdentify, prospect, cultivate and grow SPINS client baseExceed defined sales goals through account planning, networking and use of company resourcesMaximize SPINS revenue and profitability potential by up-selling new revenue, raising awareness of SPINS broader portfolio of solutions and ensuring client satisfactionParticipate in trade shows, kick-off meetings, major milestone meetings and other opportunistic eventsMaintain thorough understanding of SPINS solutions and tailor presentations & solutions to meet the needs of different types of businessesAssist top clients in developing the business case and value proposition for proposed solutionsPartner within SPINS to define the optimal performance measurements and management priorities and identify opportunities for new salesChampion change to remain aligned with SPINS vision, goals, the industry, market, and client needsContribute to the growth, development, and positive experience of the SPINS Sales teamSkills1-3+ years of software solutions sales experience including data marketing, analytics, SaaS, digital or related technology space; start-up experience preferredExperience selling solutions into CPG, Food Retailers, or Food Manufacturers is a plusStrong foundation for strategic and tactical selling of a solutionAbility to develop strong C-Suite level relationshipsAccomplished change agent who demonstrates flexibility, resilience to setback and is able to drive operating and culture change, and long-term vision to maintain course within constantly changing environmentSound administrative skills and highly evolved people management skillsAble to establish credibility with key executives while driving the priorities of the organizationStellar communicator – in writing, in person, and via phoneKeen ability to understand the customer requirements and offer solutionsStrategic critical thinker with strong business management and development abilities to drive understanding and inspire creativitySuperior organizational and project management skillsHighly evolved presentation and negotiation skills to present to potential clientsModerate travel requiredProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerProlonged periods of speaking on the phoneMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a timeStart-up experience preferredExperience selling solutions into CPG, Food Retailers, or Food Manufacturers is a plusBenefitsEach employee is allotted paid time to use to volunteer with an organization of their choice and charitable donations are matched.Semi-annual company-wide employee survey that is used to shape company programs, perks, and culture.Company OverviewSPINS is a data and analytics company that provides market intelligence and insights for the natural and specialty products industry.
