About the Role
At Medical Mutual, we're seeking a talented Attorney to join our team. As an Attorney at Medical Mutual, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing expert legal advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Ā Identify and analyze legal issues, assess risk, and provide recommendations and counsel to executive staff and management.
Ā Negotiate on behalf of the corporation in various settings and develop standard documents and procedures to protect the corporation and minimize risks.
Ā Provide legal advice to specific departments or as a subject matter expert.
Ā Research federal and state regulatory issues including health insurance, Medicare, and other types of insurance.
Ā Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and provider agreements.
Requirements:
Ā A Juris Doctor degree, 8 years of legal experience, and admission to practice law in Ohio.
Ā Experience in healthcare or insurance law, and law firm experience are a plus.
Ā The ability to research and apply legal principles, solve problems, and occasionally travel to offsite locations.
