Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Salary Range: $114,000 – $124,000
A respected healthcare organization is seeking a Regulatory Guidance Manager to lead a team of analysts focused on ensuring enterprise-wide compliance with applicable regulations across various lines of business. The Regulatory Guidance Manager role involves managing regulatory research and guidance, interpreting new and evolving regulations, and coordinating implementation strategies with internal departments.
Regulatory Guidance Manager Key Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of Regulatory Analysts and Specialists responsible for interpreting and disseminating regulatory guidance across all NYS-regulated lines of business.
Partner with internal stakeholders (including project management and product teams) to develop and execute implementation plans for regulatory changes.
Monitor, research, and analyze regulatory requirements and emerging trends; communicate impacts to organizational leadership.
Build and maintain productive relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure the organization is aligned with current laws and regulations.
Participate in external regulatory calls and summarize key takeaways for internal teams and senior leadership.
Collaborate with the Regulatory Operations team to ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory filings and documentation.
Support audit preparation and submission of materials to state systems such as the Health Commerce System (HCS).
Lead internal compliance efforts related to vendor changes, new service rollouts, and other operational initiatives.
Provide team oversight, assign projects, monitor performance, and address training and knowledge gaps to ensure team efficiency and growth.
Support the Director and other Compliance leaders with special projects and strategic initiatives.
Regulatory Guidance Manager Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, or equivalent experience within managed care operations.
Proven experience managing and leading teams.
Strong knowledge of NY State managed care products is highly preferred.
Working knowledge of key healthcare regulations including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Regulatory Guidance Manager Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
Project management experience is a plus.
