Position: Transactional or Regulatory Associate
Type: Contract
Compensation: $180ā$200/hour
Role Responsibilities
ā¢ Draft practitioner-level research questions in corporate transactions, securities regulation, administrative law, and compliance.
ā¢ Incorporate jurisdiction-specific statutory or regulatory interpretation.
ā¢ Frame issues requiring synthesis of statutory text, agency guidance, case law, and legislative history.
ā¢ Ensure questions resemble real client matters, not academic hypotheticals.
ā¢ Collaborate with a cutting-edge AI research lab to define realistic evaluation benchmarks.
Qualifications
Must-Have
ā¢ 4ā7+ years of law firm experience in transactional or regulatory practice.
ā¢ Strong background in statutory and regulatory interpretation.
ā¢ Experience researching federal and/or state regulatory frameworks.
ā¢ Ability to clearly scope legal issues for research.
Preferred
ā¢ Experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
ā¢ Background in highly regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, energy, etc.).
ā¢ Prior work in legal tech or AI-related initiatives.
