Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, Virtual Care, you will be responsible for:
Providing virtual nursing care to a diverse population of patients using remote monitoring technology software and related electronic health records.
Working in partnership with Clinical Nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care planning and ensure that patients receive high-quality care.
Coaching and mentoring novice nurses to develop their clinical reasoning skills.
Independently and in partnership with Clinical Nurses, recognizing subtle changes in patient condition and assisting in modifying the plan of care accordingly.
Initiating emergency action in response to acute risk situations and responding in a timely way to alarms and communicating/reporting abnormalities promptly to Clinical Nurses.
Using patient biometric, physiological, and vital sign data to provide and evaluate nursing care that promotes goal-directed change and achieves optimal patient outcomes.
Communicating changes in patient condition and actual and potential problems concerning patients, families, and staff to Clinical Nurses.
Independently and in partnership with Clinical Nurses, evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of interventions and progress toward outcomes for patients.
Initiating interdisciplinary collaboration in evaluation of patient progress and identifying and facilitating individualized patient needs for transfer/discharge.
Documenting in the electronic health record and all event-associated communications with highest quality.
Managing advanced knowledge of electronic health records and all associated software and applications, and able to troubleshoot minor technical challenges.
Requirements
Education
Diploma Program in Nursing required.
Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Work Experience
3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse required.
Licenses and Certifications
Licensed Registered Nurse upon hire required.
Registered Nurse Multi-State License upon hire required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire required.
Current certification may be required for specific areas of nursing practice, such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
