Registered Nurse (RN), Regional Float

HSHS is seeking RNs to join the Float Pool in Southern IL. Registered Nurses (RNs) are incredibly important members of the medical team who have the humbling task of caring for our patients. RNs not only provide high-quality medical care but they also provide a healing touch and a compassionate presence to patients and their families during joyful stressful and uncertain times. RNs in the float pool have the added responsibility of moving between hospitals and to different units when high patient census or other factors require additional assistance in certain departments or units. Position Specifics: o Department: Float Pool o Schedule: Part Time, 24 hours/week, Night Shift o Facility: St. Elizabeth's, St. Joseph's, Holy Family Hospital o Location: Southern IL - O'Fallon, Breese, Greenville, Highland o Compensation that aligns with your experience Education Qualifications • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required. • Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Experience Qualifications • 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse is required Certifications, Licenses and Registrations • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required. • Wisconsin: RNs may begin employment with a valid multi-state RN license; a WI RN license will be required within 30 days of establishing permanent residency. • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. • Certification in area of specialty is preferred but, in some cases, may be required to float.
