Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and provide essential nursing support to students and teachers in schools across Kansas City, KS. This role is vital in fostering an inclusive and healthy learning environment where all students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with teachers and staff to provide individualized nursing support and healthcare interventions to students.
• Assist in implementing health-related lesson plans, accommodations, and activities tailored to students’ unique medical and physical needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group nursing assistance to students with academic, social, or behavioral health goals.
• Monitor and supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, and school transportation.
• Support the implementation of health care plans and maintain a positive, safe, and respectful school environment.
• Assist students with mobility, personal care, medical needs, or adaptive equipment when required.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, parents, and healthcare providers regarding student health progress and concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records as directed by the teacher or school administration.
• Uphold a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Requirements:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas issued by the Kansas Board of Nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children in school or childcare settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff.
• Experience in education or a related field preferred (minimum one year encouraged).
• Ability to meet Kansas-specific licensure and continuing education requirements.
• Physical ability to assist students with mobility or personal care needs when necessary.
