Position Overview
Premise’s mission is to help people get, stay, and be well. As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you’ll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Wichita, KS. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm. For more information, visit
Key Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.) and manages required physical evaluations.
Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice.
Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client.
Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers.
Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care.
Collaborates with healthcare professionals, company departments, and resources on health programs and injury prevention.
Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of RN experience required in occupational health or related settings.
Willingness to travel to other clinics in Wichita as needed.
Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required.
Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers.
At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Occupational Health experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management is a plus, and may be required for some sites.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support training may also be required based on the contract scope of services.
