Job Description: Sales Associate / Junior Sales Executive

Location: Syracuse, NY (Onsite – Upstate New York)

Job Type: 3-Month Temp-to-Perm (Conversion based on performance)

On-site Requirement: Must be on-site at least 1 day per week (Candidate must live locally)

Position Summary

Trol-mation is hiring a Sales Associate / Junior Sales Executive to support and grow its aluminum extrusion business. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career sales professional (0–5 years experience) looking to build a long-term career in technical B2B sales.

The role is designed as a career-track opportunity with training, mentorship, and progressive responsibility. You will work closely with senior leadership and technical teams to develop product knowledge, support quoting, manage customer relationships, and grow sales activity.

An existing book of business is not required.

Key Responsibilities
• Support sales efforts for T-slotted aluminum extrusion systems and related accessories
• Learn product applications such as frames, machine guarding, enclosures, and industrial workstations
• Prospect and engage new industrial customers including OEMs, integrators, and manufacturers
• Assist in developing customer quotes and proposals (with engineering/CAD support)
• Participate in the full sales cycle: discovery, quoting, follow-up, negotiation, and closing
• Maintain and update pipeline activity using CRM tools
• Work closely onsite with engineering, machining, assembly, and operations teams
• Build long-term customer relationships and gradually take ownership of accounts

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or similar preferred)
• 0–5 years of experience in sales, customer support, manufacturing, or technical environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn technical products and industrial applications
• Must be able to work onsite in Syracuse, NY (not a remote role)
• Must live locally and be able to come onsite at least once per week

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
• 1–2 years experience in outside sales or B2B customer-facing roles
• Exposure to engineered products, industrial components, automation, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with CAD drawings, layouts, or technical documentation
• Experience working with CRM systems
• Interest in technical sales and industrial equipment solutions

Compensation & Employment Details
• Temp-to-Perm: 3 months contract → permanent conversion based on performance
• Benefits: Available after 3 months (once converted through Trol-mation)
• Salary: DOE (Depends on Experience)
• Commission/bonus structure available with growth potential
