Role Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for effectively managing and leading all Industrial Division sales representatives within an assigned region to achieve planned, profitable sales growth. This role drives regional performance through strategic planning, sales leadership, analytics, and strong collaboration with internal teams and independent representative firms.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in in a related business or technical field required.

Minimum five (5) years of sales experience in a related industry.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience.

Corporation-location; based out of Bryan Ohio.

1.0 DUTIES / RESPONSBILITIES:

-Maintain and grow regional sales through distribution channels and direct accounts by meeting or exceeding established sales goals while maintaining acceptable gross margins across all representative territories.

-Develop and execute a strategic annual business plan for the region using analytical data, in collaboration with the National Sales Manager and Marketing Department. Plans include sales trends, product performance, growth projections, tactics, strategies, and defined performance metrics.

-Develop, support, and manage independent rep firms to achieve and exceed territory growth objectives.

-Monitor sales representative performance through key performance indicators (KPI’s) and provide monthly and quarterly performance updates via formal reporting to management.

-Provide representatives with actionable insights, including sales trend reports, dashboards, and monthly order reviews to drive success.

-Plan and conduct strategic sales calls using advanced itineraries aligned with predetermined objectives as outlined in the Regional Manager Handbook.

-Ensure trip-related action items are completed promptly and accurately documented with the CRM system.

-Conduct territory training sessions for representative firms as required.

-Maintain timely and accurate communication with all reps' firms as required.

-Maintain timely and accurate communication with all rep firms, typically within 24-48 hours of receiving new information.

-Assist the National Sales Manager in developing regional sales budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

-Provide support for all regional accounts, both in the field and at the factory level.

-Serve as a factory-based resource to proactively resolve customer issues by coordinating with appropriate internal personnel.

-Maintain and update the Quotation Log on a monthly basis.

-Support implementation and refinement of regional sales and marketing strategies.

-Plan and participate in trade shows, seminars, distributor meetings, and training programs (including occasional weekend travel). Submit post-event reports within one week of return.

-Develop in-depth knowledge of company products, competitor offerings, and applications through regional market analysis, including trend identification, SWOT analysis, and competitive recommendations.

-Provide timely, accurate, and analytical updates to the National Sales Manager.

-Complete and submit all required reports, forecasts, budgets, and market surveys accurately and on schedule.

-Train, mentor, and lead by example while fostering strong collaborative relationships internally and externally.

-Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
