Position SummaryNational Technologies (NTI) is seeking a Market Manager – Business Development to lead strategic growth across the New York Metro region, focused primarily on commercial, enterprise, municipal, data center, fiber, and transportation infrastructure opportunities. This role will serve as NTI’s front-line market leader, responsible for identifying, positioning, and securing low-voltage and telecommunications infrastructure opportunities throughout New York City, Northern New Jersey, and the broader Northeast corridor.The ideal candidate possesses deep relationships within the NYC construction and union ecosystem, understands upcoming project pipelines before public release, and can successfully position NTI within owner, consultant, and GC decision-making networks. This individual will work closely with executive leadership, operations, estimating, and national account teams to translate local relationships into executable revenue opportunities. Primary Market Focus / Core Target VerticalsHigh-rise commercial developmentsClass A office & enterprise campusesMunicipal and government facilitiesAirports & aviation infrastructureTransit & transportation authoritiesHealthcare & institutional facilitiesFinancial services & legacy enterprise environmentsLarge-scale renovation and modernization programsData center and fiber infrastructure projectsKey ResponsibilitiesMarket Development & Relationship LeadershipEstablish NTI as a trusted infrastructure partner within the IBEW Local 3 commercial construction ecosystem.Leverage existing relationships across owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, engineering firms, and union leadership.Identify upcoming projects across NYC and surrounding markets prior to formal bid release.Develop strong engagement with decision makers across:Commercial developersMunicipal agenciesTransit authoritiesAviation authoritiesEnterprise clientsGeneral Contractors & CM firmsElectrical contractors and integration partnersOpportunity Identification & Sales ExecutionExpand NTI’s presence beyond traditional fiber scopes into:Structured cabling (copper & fiber)Rack & stack deploymentsInside plant infrastructureNetwork modernizationSecurity, DAS, and ELV systemsIdentify underrepresented providers and enterprise customers requiring infrastructure services.Regional Data Center EngagementSupport expansion into New Jersey and Upstate New York data center markets.Develop relationships with operators and developers supporting hyperscale and enterprise deployments.Coordinate with national account teams to align local execution with hyperscale pursuits.Competencies & SkillsDeep understanding of NYC commercial construction market dynamicsStrong working knowledge of IBEW Local 3 contracting environmentProven relationship network within NYC developers, GCs, CMs, or enterprise ownersTechnical familiarity with:Structured cabling (fiber & copper)Low voltage systemsInside plant & enterprise infrastructureDAS, security, and ELV systemsUnderstanding of GC-led, CM-led, and owner-direct procurement modelsComfortable operating within active construction and live facilitiesEducation & Experience5+ years’ business development or market leadership experience within:Commercial constructionTelecommunications infrastructureLow voltage / technology integrationEnterprise or municipal infrastructure marketsDemonstrated success working within union labor environments (IBEW preferred)Existing NYC Metro industry relationships strongly preferredWork Location & TravelVirtual Home Office - with expectation of visiting office for team meetings, customer presentations and collaboration.
