We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world.Job Description:NBC News Channel is a division of the NBC News Group, based in Charlotte, North Carolina.The Regional Producer serves as the primary editorial liaison between NBC News group, its owned and affiliated stations, and foreign and domestic partners.  The Regional Producer gathers information on local coverage plans, monitors developing and breaking news, and identifies content with regional and national relevance.This is a weekend full-time staff position.Job Responsibilities: Primary contact with affiliate stations on local coverage Book and monitor live and tape feedsRespond quickly to breaking news Provide written editorial content and edit video for news storiesRespond and fulfil content and reporter requests for NBC News network platformsUse all available editorial, social media, and desktop tools to gather, view, and share storiesBook transmission facilities for live and tape feedsFulfil requests for all NBC Network platformsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree - preferably in journalism or communicationsAt least 4 years of experience working within local or network news environment Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidaysMust be able to work flexible hours during major breaking newsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong editorial judgment and customer service skillsAbility to work calmly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentAbility to multitask and prioritize assignments Strong work ethic and organizational skillsAdditional Requirements:Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
