Job Summary:

Equinix is seeking a Regional Procurement Specialist for major capital equipment categories to execute supply chain and contract strategies and manage purchase orders across selected regions. This role requires proactive communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Business Partnering: Collaborate with business teams, resolve stakeholder issues, and educate on procurement processes. Build strong relationships and recommend process enhancements.
• Resource Management: Provide updates on supplier performance, address resource/budgetary issues, and develop complex business cases.
• Negotiations: Partner with business leaders to execute purchases that achieve cost savings and improve vendor performance. Monitor supply agreements and engage suppliers to secure favorable outcomes.
• Procurement Strategy: Implement global procurement strategies, develop vendor management plans, and establish procurement goals. Maintain industry knowledge and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Cost Savings: Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities, develop proposals, and maintain cost forecasts for the region.
• Supplier Management: Lead supplier management processes, ensure compliance with contract terms, mitigate supplier risks, and conduct inventory analysis.
• Contract Management: Oversee contract documentation, partner with Legal the contract lifecycle, negotiate contract details, and manage order requirements.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, cost consultant or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in procurement, supply chain, or category management.
• Proficient in end-to-end procurement processes
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Goal-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to change.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in a technical field or MBA.
• Experience with Data Center and/or large-scale industrial engineering projects.
• Knowledge of commodity management, contract management and quality management
• Familiarity with UPS, LIB, STS and/or Building Management Systems. Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Proficient in Power BI, Coupa, Anaplan, and Smartsheet.
