Job description: Job Summary:The Regional Nurse Manager oversees and supports a team of infusion nurses across a designated geographic region, ensuring high-quality, safe, and compliant delivery of specialty pharmacy infusion services. This role combines clinical leadership, operational management, and strategic planning to drive excellence in patient care and nursing performance.Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision:
Manage, mentor, and evaluate a regional team of home infusion nurses and clinical staff.
Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and support professional development.
Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, protocols, and standards.
Clinical Oversight:
Oversee the delivery of infusion therapy, ensuring compliance with physician orders, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff, patients, and referral sources regarding therapy management and patient care.
Monitor and ensure appropriate documentation and adherence to best practices.
Quality & Compliance:
Conduct regular audits, quality assurance checks, and patient outcome reviews.
Ensure regional compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, The Joint Commission, and state board of nursing regulations.
Support investigation and resolution of patient complaints or adverse events.
Operational Management:
Collaborate with pharmacy operations, sales, and intake teams to support timely patient onboarding and service delivery.
Manage nurse scheduling, coverage, and productivity metrics.
Participate in budgeting, cost containment, and staffing strategies.
Travel & Communication:
Travel within the assigned region to meet with nurses, patients, and referral sources.
Facilitate regular regional team meetings, virtual trainings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current and unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s).
CRNI® (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion)
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years in home infusion or specialty pharmacy.
Minimum32 years of nurse management or leadership experience.
Proven ability to lead remote teams and oversee regional operations.
Multi state responsibility preferred
Skills:
Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and critical thinking abilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
