Regional HR People/Business Partner

Remote Full-time
About the position

The Regional People & Business Partner is a field-embedded HR leader responsible for overseeing the full people function across approximately seven branch locations. This role sits alongside a peer Regional People & Business Partner — together, you will cover the full footprint of our branch network, each owning your region while collaborating on shared company-wide initiatives. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable advising a manager on a performance conversation in the morning and contributing to an organization-wide HR project in the afternoon. You will serve as the frontline HR advisor for your region while also playing an active role in shaping our people practices at a broader level.

Responsibilities
• Talent Acquisition (25%): Lead full-cycle recruiting for recurring and specialized roles across assigned branches Partner with managers to develop tailored sourcing, screening, and selection strategies Manage job postings, interview coordination, and offer processes Drive a strong onboarding experience to set new hires up for long-term success
• Employee Relations & Coaching (25%): Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employee concerns, conflicts, and complaints Coach and advise managers on performance management, improvement plans, and progressive discipline Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to inform retention strategies Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, benefits, and day-to-day people questions
• Strategic Partnership & Support (20%): Build trusted, consultative relationships with branch leaders and their teams Partner with managers on workforce planning and organizational effectiveness Support manager development through coaching, resources, and structured programming Collaborate with ESOP representatives to reinforce the meaning and value of employee ownership
• Company-Wide HR Initiatives (20%): Contribute to cross-functional HR projects that impact the broader organization (e.g., policy development, program rollouts, culture initiatives, process improvements) Partner with your peer Regional People & Business Partner and HR leadership to build consistent, scalable people practices across all locations
• Compliance, Safety & Systems (10%): Ensure legal compliance across multiple states, staying current on employment law changes Maintain data accuracy and integrity within Paycom; complete regular audits Coordinate safety training and manage incident reporting processes Promote a culture of accountability and safety-first thinking

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field — or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of HR generalist experience, including multi-site or regional support
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and multi-state compliance
• Proficiency with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed to assigned branch locations

Nice-to-haves
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred

Benefits
• Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience
• ESOP & profit-sharing — because we believe in shared ownership
• Competitive benefits package
• A collaborative, values-driven culture
• The opportunity to make a real impact on the employee experience across your region
