What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Answer all inbound calls and route appropriately utilizing scripting and warm transfers
Provide support to team members as needed
Accurately and efficiently enter or update all demographics and incoming referrals to sub-specialty departments
Reach out to PCP's via phone and/or fax to answer routine to complex questions regarding referrals
Coordinate multiple appointment requests with sub-specialty department representatives
What Is Required (Qualifications)
High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school
Minimum of 6 months experience as a receptionist in a Physician Office or equivalent
Typing speed of 50 wpm or greater with minimal errors
Exceptional attention to detail and HIPAA compliance
Effective communication and interpersonal skills

0-2 years of experience as a referral specialist or similar role in a healthcare setting
