Description

Join a cutting-edge initiative focused on extracting real-time data from Allen-Bradley PLCs on a medical device manufacturing line. The goal is to transform raw industrial data into actionable business intelligence. The customer has a working proof of concept and is seeking a seasoned engineer to assist with the testing, validation, and hardening of the solution. They have an experienced engineer who will be providing guidance.

Key Responsibilities
• Enhance and validate the existing PLC data extraction solution.
• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies including:
• Fuzz testing
• Load testing
• Unit testing using xUnit/NUnit
• Develop and maintain test harnesses and frameworks in Python.
• Configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Create and manage Dockerfiles for containerized test environments.
• Analyze, test and troubleshoot communication protocols including TCP/IP and CIP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solution scalability and reliability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering and test automation.
• Strong proficiency in C# and Python.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and Docker.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and CIP (Common Industrial Protocol).
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Proven ability to design and execute advanced testing strategies.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of industrial data analytics and business intelligence platforms.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
