Rate Coordinator

Wilson Elser is a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1400 attorneys across the United States. They are seeking a Rate Coordinator to support the Director of Pricing and Rate Supervisor with rate inquiries, maintain rate structures, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of client rates within the firm's financial systems. Responsibilities Monitor, prioritize and respond to all rate inquiries in a timely manner, escalating complex issues as appropriate Set up, maintain, and update standard rate arrangements, discounts and fixed-fee arrangements in the billing system Review Client engagement letters, Letters of Understanding, Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), and any other client correspondence to interpret rate requirements, summarize key terms, and implement compliant rate structures in the most efficient and beneficial way available Partner with the firm's Revenue Team (RT) to provide documentation supporting implemented rates and assist in resolving e-billing rate rejections and discrepancies Maintain accurate timekeeper and rate data, perform regular audits, and generate reports to rate compliance, exceptions and approvals Liaise with attorneys, Revenue Team members, and the pricing team to resolve rate-related inquiries and discrepancies efficiently Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent training 1-3 years of experience in a legal billing environment Proficiency in Aderant preferred Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and data review) and Outlook Strong reading comprehension, analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to exercise proper judgment and maintain confidentiality Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce detailed and accurate work products Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, to meet deadlines and daily requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, attorneys, staff, vendors and clients Commitment to providing high-quality internal and external client service Ability to identify issues and contribute practical and efficient solutions Interest in learning and developing new skills Project management experience a plus Benefits 401k match Generous PTO plan Medical Dental Vision Disability Life insurance Access to corporate discount plans Company Overview Wilson Elser is the preeminent defense litigation firm in the United States.
