Radiologic Technologist - Duke Urgent Care, Hillsborough Location: Duke Urgent Care 267 S Churton St, Hillsborough, NC 27278 Work Schedule: Full-Time, (3) 12-hour shifts 7:45AM - 8:15PM with full week rotations β€’ **This position is eligible for a $15,000 commitment bonus*** Duke University Health System seeks to hire an experienced Radiologic Technologist who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together. Duke Urgent Care in Hillsborough is a Group Practice with one location and six physicians that cover three specialty areas of medicine. Duke urgent care doctors treat infants, children, and adults with minor injuries and illnesses when their primary care provider is unavailable, after hours, or when their condition is not serious and does not require emergency services. We also provide lab work and X-Rays on site. What you will do: β€’ Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical areas of interest. Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines. β€’ Explain x-ray procedures to patients. β€’ Position patients for each anatomical view using positioning assistance devices and protective equipment as necessary. β€’ Monitor accessory equipment and assist the physician with fluoroscopic procedures and special radiographic procedures. β€’ Accurately process images for optimal quality. Match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation. β€’ Charge radiographic procedures in; able to modify orders per protocol. Demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation. β€’ Understands and uses the Image Archival System β€’ Provide education and training to DUHS affiliated radiology technology programs. β€’ Provide orientation to new technologists. β€’ Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein Required Qualifications: Education: Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology and ARRT Certification Experience: At least one year of experience as a certified Radiologic Technologist Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification ARRT certification BLS certification Duke is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing employment opportunity without regard to an individual's age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
