Radio Frequency Engineer

Join Verizon's innovative team as a Radio Frequency Engineer and play a key role in shaping the future of wireless networks. As a member of our Network Engineering team, you will design and optimize sites in a geographic area, ensuring exceptional network performance and a superior customer experience.
In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Capacity Planning and System Performance engineers, to identify and implement new cell site locations, optimize 5G, LTE, and Radio Access Networks, and improve voice and data wireless network performance. Your expertise will have a direct impact on our organization and our customers' lives.
Responsibilities:

Design and optimize sites in a geographic area to ensure exceptional network performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new cell site locations
Optimize 5G, LTE, and Radio Access Networks using traditional and innovative methods
Interface with project managers, real estate, construction, field operations, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and regulatory teams to ensure network quality and financial objectives are met
Improve the performance of voice and data wireless networks

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience
4+ years of relevant experience in RF design and optimization
Valid driver's license
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as LTE/VoLTE technology
Experience in design and optimization of LTE/VoLTE networks

What We Offer:

Competitive salary range: $81,500 - $142,000 per year
