Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

As we continue to grow our apprenticeship and online learning provision, we’re looking for a Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance processes and ensure every learner receives an exceptional learning experience.
This role sits within the Operations team and works closely with Curriculum, Apprenticeships, and Client Partnerships. Reporting to the Head of Apprenticeships, the Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring our programmes meet Ofsted expectations, sector best practice, and our own high standards.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organisation‑wide Quality Strategy
Maintain and update the SAR, QIP, and quality calendar
Conduct quality reviews, deep dives, and audits of teaching, learning, and assessment
Monitor learner progress, achievement, and satisfaction data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Lead OTLAs and provide developmental feedback and coaching to delivery staff
Support Skills Coaches and Tutors to strengthen pedagogy, assessment quality, and learner engagement
Ensure consistency and quality of feedback, assessment decisions, and learner support
Manage the IQA team, including IQAs, assessors, and marking staff
Oversee sampling, standardisation, and action completion across all apprenticeship standards
Ensure assessment decisions are valid, reliable, fair, and compliant
Lead standardisation meetings and support the development of high‑quality learning and assessment materials
Design and deliver CPD sessions on quality, pedagogy, assessment, and Ofsted readiness
Support new staff induction from a quality perspective
Analyse quality data to identify risks, trends, and areas for improvement
Produce quality reports for the Head of Apprenticeships and Strategic Board
Maintain quality‑related risk registers and contribute to business continuity planning
Work with the Safeguarding Lead to ensure safeguarding themes are embedded in curriculum and delivery
Monitor learner voice, surveys, and feedback to drive improvements in learner experience
Ensure all quality processes are documented, up to date, and consistently applied
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
IQA qualification (V1 / IQA Award)
Strong knowledge of Ofsted EIF and quality assurance in apprenticeships
Experience leading IQA processes and managing IQA/assessment teams
Experience conducting OTLAs and providing developmental feedback
Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and the learning journey
Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in English & Maths
Knowledge of wider regulatory requirements (GDPR, Prevent, safeguarding)
Desirable
Level 5 teaching qualification (DET, DTLLS, PGCE)
Assessor qualification (TAQA/A1/CAVA)
Experience designing and delivering CPD
Experience working with digital learning platforms or e‑portfolios
