• Monday - Friday
• Remote/Hybrid position

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Center for Clinical Excellence is an innovative approach to the strategic management of quality, safety and service within UW Medical Center. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
• Provides leadership and support for the Medical Center's peer review process
• Provides Patient Safety and QI case reviews
• Remote/Hybrid opportunity

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Using the medical record, performs clinical data abstraction and review related to mortalities
• Creates and runs the bi-weekly mortality report and other reports
• Coordinates the mortality review process and presents finding to the Medical Quality Improvement Committee
• Conducts patient safety and other QI case reviews as requested

REQUIREMENTS
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington required by start date
• At least 5 years of nursing experience to include inpatient critical care nursing experience AND at least 3 years of nursing experience in an academic medical center
• One year of experience in quality improvement
