As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting and enforcing SQF/QA, GMP, HACCP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs. Position at a Glance: Compensation: Competitive salary with opportunities for growth Start Date: Immediate openings available Company: Workwarp Position: Quality Assurance Technician - Entry Level Location: Remote Job Summary As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll be responsible for providing assistance to the Quality Assurance Department with various laboratory functions, swabbing, coli form plating, calibrating, antibiotic testing, and more. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in quality assurance and microbiology, preferably in a food plant (milk). Key Responsibilities: Daily QA Audits: Conduct daily quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Pond Monitoring: Monitor ponds to ensure optimal conditions and identify potential issues Laboratory Functions: Perform micro plating, WPN, CO2, and antibiotic confirmation testing, as well as check powder packaging seals Sample Management: Pull customer samples and update quality and procedure manuals, calibrations, wastewater reports, swabbing, and air quality monitoring Laboratory Maintenance: Clean and maintain laboratory areas, take care of and maintain company tools and laboratory equipment Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety and working rules, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to a quality environment Attendance and Initiative: Ensure excellent regular full-time attendance and use initiative and judgment in decision-making, keeping the company's best interests in mind Essential Qualifications: Education: Minimum of an LS degree or 5 years of lab/QA experience without a degree Experience: Experience in quality assurance and microbiology, preferably in a food plant (milk) Skills: Compliance and sample management skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience: Experience working in the quality department Laboratory Proficiency: Proficiency in laboratory functions and procedures Skills and Competencies: To succeed as a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll need: Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Workwarp, we're committed to providing opportunities for growth and development.
