This role involves developing and reviewing packaging copies to ensure compliance with company standards and government regulations, while managing vendor communications and special regulatory projects.ResponsibilitiesTrack progress of pack copies through the development stage of corporate brand productsFollow up with vendors when they fail to meet specific timelines or when deviations to policy/regulation are identifiedCreate new/revised product pack copies which will be used by the design, packaging and regulatory departments to create packagingValidate information provided by vendors against Metro & regulatory requirementsLiaise between Metro & vendors to verify all information is accurate and received in a timely mannerSupport Quality Assurance Coordinator during vacation periodsLiaise with vendors to obtain kosher, halal and organic certificates and maintain databases with current informationManage special regulatory projects as assigned by the Regulatory Manager, Regulatory Supervisor or Sr. Director, Quality Assurance & Regulatory AffairsSkillsBachelor's Degree or College Diploma in nutrition, food science or a related discipline1-3 years of relevant work experience in a regulatory roleIntermediate computer skills required, with an emphasis on Excel and WordKnowledge of SAP an assetKnowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative policies and proceduresEnglish/French Bilingual an assetCompany OverviewWith annual sales of more than $21 billion, METRO Inc.
