Quality Assurance Manual Tester
Rooms To Go is looking for a QA Manual Tester to join our App Dev team!
Manual testing is the process of manually testing software for defects. It requires a tester to play the role of an end user whereby they use most of the application's features to ensure correct behavior. To guarantee completeness of testing, the tester often follows a written test plan that leads them through a set of important test cases.
Responsibilities
Ā Develop and execute test plans to ensure overall quality of web and desktop apps
Ā Collaborate to improve standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness
Ā Identify and track defects in a defect tracking system
Ā Perform smoke tests and regression tests
Ā Manually test apps across multiple configurations
Qualifications:
Ā A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manual testing
Ā Familiarity with different testing types
Ā Strong understanding of testing methodologies and testing lifecycle
Ā Basic understanding of different software development lifecycles and programming languages
Ā Should have exposure to at least one test and defect management tool
Ā Experience with test plan repositories and workflow management in a plus
Ā Ability to create a test plan from a set of requirements or user stories
Ā Ability to understand and test use cases
Ā Ability to communicate test results to technical and non-technical audiences
Ā Experience with standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
Ā Excellent communication skills
Ā Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ā Programming skills is a plus
Ā Automation experience is a plus
