Quality Analyst (Wire Payments)

This role focuses on testing payment applications, ensuring accurate execution and compliance of cross-border payments.ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on testing for payment applications supporting SWIFT CBPR+ and Fed ISO 20022 migration initiativesDesign, prepare, and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts for functional, integration, system, and end-to-end testingValidate ISO 20022 payment messages, including content, mapping, transformation, and routingTest inbound and outbound wire payment flows across processing systems and interfacesAnalyze business and functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive test coverageValidate payment message formats such as pacs.008, pacs.009, pacs.004, camt, and related wire messagesTest exception handling, including repairs, rejects, returns, cancellations, and investigation scenariosCollaborate with development and business teams to identify, document, track, and retest defectsSupport SIT, UAT, regression, and production validation activitiesCoordinate with upstream and downstream application teams to ensure complete end-to-end payment validationReview system logs, message payloads, and reconciliation outputs to confirm transaction accuracyParticipate in test planning, defect triage, status reporting, and release support activitiesSkillsStrong hands-on experience testing payment or wire transfer applicationsSolid knowledge of SWIFT CBPR+ testing and message validationSolid knowledge of Fed ISO 20022 payment flows and testing requirementsExperience working with ISO 20022 XML message structures, validation, and mappingStrong understanding of cross-border payments, wire transfers, and payment lifecycle eventsExperience with functional testing, integration testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testingAbility to create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and defect documentationStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills to investigate message or transaction failuresExperience using test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similarAbility to work independently in a fast-paced banking or payments environmentExperience with FIS OPF Wire EngineExperience with SWIFT Alliance Message Hub (AMH) and/or SWIFT Wire Room processesExposure to payment hubs, middleware, and message transformation layersUnderstanding of MT to MX migration and coexistence testingFamiliarity with settlement, reconciliation, sanctions screening, and payment repair workflowsPrior experience in banking, treasury services, AML, or wholesale payments domainsCompany OverviewCGI is an IT and business consulting services firm that offers consulting, cyber security, cloud, and IT services.
