QA Tester (Manual and Automation)

We are Topflight Apps! An innovative group of product strategists, designers, and developers. Together we create custom app solutions for startups and mid-sized businesses, and what we do best is tackle some of the biggest problems in healthcare, fintech, blockchain technology, and on-demand. Due to our expansions, we’re looking for two talented QA Testesr to join our family. As a QA Tester, you will utilize hands-on experience in functional and regression testing, and create and execute test plans for highly complex software applications. Your contribution to ensuring a predictable development life cycle will be crucial, as you will be involved in projects from start to finish. You’ll be able to set up the quality assurance strategy by implementing best practices to analyze the testing needs of the platform and features. Projects You’ll Be Working On: • As an agency, you will be working on a variety of innovative projects aiming to push the limits in healthcare, fintech, edtech, crypto, and on-demand space. Your Responsibilities Include: • Understand product requirements and have a complete idea of the product • Perform user interface, functional, integration, and regression testing • Write detailed, accurate defect summaries and clearly communicate with the development team • Develop and maintain separate test cases and test plans for functionality, system, and ad-hoc testing • Be actively involved with the project team in identifying high-risk scenarios • Create test strategies • Be a decision-maker in go/no-go situations The key characteristics we're looking for are: • 2+ years of experience as a QA Tester in automated and manual testing for mobile and web applications. • Experience with Playwright automation tool. • Experience with Python • Strong understanding of QA methodology and the Software Development Life-cycle; • The ability to "figure it out" when you hit inevitable roadblocks. • Desire for team-first approach, radical transparency, thoughtful disagreement, and - constructive feedback (both giving and offering). • Desire for constant learning and a dynamic change-up in project opportunities. • Mental fortitude to handle a relatively high-stress environment that comes from tighter deadlines and rapid development cycles. • Best-in-class communication skills Desirable characteristics: Inclination towards using AI tools to speed up work-related tasks. Prior experience working with agencies. Experience in Automation testing is a plus Important to know: • Since we are fully remote and our team is across the globe, you are expected to interact with different teams and need to be flexible with different time zones. • All New Joiners with Topflight Apps go through a 1 Month Trial at the start of their employment journey. This is to ensure your onboarding goes smoothly and that both parties are aligned on future expectations. • This is an hourly based role, and the workload for one this role will vary between 10 to 40 hours a week.
