Responsibilities

What you will do:
• Testing: Develops, maintains, and executes automated test scripts using Selenium Web Driver and other tools. Integrates automated tests with continuous integration tools such as TeamCity, Gitlab or Jenkins. Participates in code reviews and provides feedback on testability and quality. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Test Documentation/Cases: Creates and maintains detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Reviews the automated test suite and works with IT and Operations to remove, modify, or add test cases as the business needs and system functionality changes. Ensures the quality and reliability of the Guidewire platform implementations.
• Teamwork: Participates in SAFe team ceremonies to stay aligned with organizational goals and celebrate team achievements, ensuring a SAFe environment for all.
• Other duties as required: Job may require fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.

Qualifications

Business Experience:
• Required - 5+ years Automated QA, test automation frameworks, and performance and security testing. Extensive experience with data-driven testing methodologies and managing data tests for comprehensive test coverage.

Skills Required:
• Programming: Strong background in object-oriented programming. Advanced proficiency in Java, Python, and C+.
• Software Testing: Knowledge of software testing methodologies, and best practices. Experience with utilizing tools such as Excel (Apache POI).
• In-depth knowledge of the Guidewire platform, RestAssured or Postman, and CI/CD tools like TeamCity or GitLab.

Certifications:
• Preferred - Certification in ISTQB

Education Requirements:
• Required - High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred - BA/BS Computer science, software engineering or a related field

This position can be hired as a level II or Senior depending on experience.

The pay range for the QA Software Test Engineer position is $74,734 - $152,547 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The company also offers a full range of medical, financial and other benefits, including eligibility for the company’s performance sharing plan and paid time off such as holidays, vacation, sick and personal holidays.
