RequirementsJob SummaryOne of our regional E-commerce platforms is seeking to hire a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Executive to join our Quality Assurance team. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring that software applications meet the required quality standards.The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality software products. We are particularly interested in recent graduates or early-career professionals with less than one year of experience. The successful candidate will have a solid grasp of QA concepts and principles, showcasing both foundational knowledge and a commitment to learning and growing in the quality assurance field.Key Responsibilities .Test Planning and Execution:Develop and execute well-structured test casesUpdating Test Cases: As the product evolves, learn how to update test cases to reflect changes in functionalityPerform manual testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure adherence to quality standards.Work collaboratively with engineers on estimation and priorities for testing activitiesPerforming various types of testing as per the requirement: :Regression Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Exploratory Testing, Smoke TestingIdentify, record, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.Provide first-level support for tech-related inquiries and issues from usersTroubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues and escalate complex issues / bugs to Product and Developers to ensure timely resolutionAssist in creating and updating user guides and documentation Documentation:Test Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of test cases, test execution results, and defect reports.Knowledge Sharing: Document common issues and resolutions, contributing to the team’s knowledge base to help others avoid similar pitfalls.Product Knowledge: Gain a foundational understanding of the product you are testing. Learn how it fits into the larger business model, who the target users are, and what problems it aims to solve.User Perspective: Develop an awareness of the end-users' needs and expectations. Understand how different user personas interact with the product and the value it provides them.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.1 - 2 years of experience as QA Executive Knowledge or experience of Regression Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Exploratory Testing, Smoke TestingDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Time management and organizational skillsAdvanced written and verbal communication skillsCritical thinkerOriginally posted on Himalayas
