QA Engineer - Education Sector

Working closely with the Product & Technology group and other teams, the QA Engineer will be handling multiple concurrent projects focusing on the quality of user experience, error-free data delivery, and data accuracy. This is a multifaceted opportunity to work with a small, talented team on impactful projects essential to ACUE’s higher education success.

Responsibilities:
• Review requirements and specifications; identify gaps, inconsistency, and ambiguity in functional and non-functional requirements
• Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities
• Perform manual testing of applications, data-centric tools, and internal tools
• Perform verification of automated reports and dashboards
• Perform manual testing of ETL processes and data pipelines
• Verify data in DBs and data warehouse
• Introduce quality metrics, and report the results of test efforts to management team
• Develop test documentation
• Collaborate with data engineering team on processes for data monitoring and alerting, and maintaining data integrity
• Work with other teams to assist with user reported issues
• Assist in development of user documentation

Skills and Experience:
• 4+ years’ experience as QA Engineer
• Strong understanding of the QA processes, methodologies, and SDLC
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with data platforms, data integration, data migration, and ETL solutions
• Tableau (or similar BI tool) experience preferred
• Canvas (LMS), Google BigQuery, and Salesforce experience a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week

Compensation Package:
• 1099 contract

Schedule:
• No weekends
