QA Engineer (API Testing)

• *About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in API testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in validating backend systems, working with microservices architecture, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable applications.
• *Key Responsibilities**
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for REST APIs
• Perform end-to-end API testing including functional, integration, and regression testing
• Validate backend data using strong SQL queries
• Collaborate with development teams to understand microservices architecture and ensure proper test coverage
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for APIs
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution
• Ensure application quality, performance, and data security compliance
• Work with cloud-based environments, especially AWS, for testing and validation
• *Required Skills & Qualifications**
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on API testing
• Expertise in REST API testing (tools like Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
• Strong SQL skills for backend data validation
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with AWS (cloud environments, services, deployments)
• Experience in test automation frameworks
• Knowledge of data security practices and testing
• *Preferred Qualifications**
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with performance testing tools
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
