Job Summary

Edelman, a global leader in public relations and communications, is seeking a highly motivated Public Relations Assistant to join our dynamic team remotely. This role is ideal for someone passionate about shaping narratives, building brand reputation, and supporting impactful communication campaigns. The PR Assistant will work closely with senior PR professionals to deliver creative and strategic communications solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow their expertise in media relations, content creation, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to the company’s mission of driving meaningful connections and public impact.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development and execution of PR campaigns across multiple industries.
• Draft press releases, media alerts, pitches, and other PR materials.
• Conduct media research to identify opportunities for client placements and exposure.
• Monitor media coverage and provide detailed reports on campaign performance.
• Maintain media contact lists and assist in outreach efforts.
• Support event planning and coordination, including virtual events, press briefings, and client engagements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with client goals and brand guidelines.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, tracking project timelines, and maintaining documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, PR tools, and media monitoring software.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Creativity and proactive problem-solving mindset.

Experience
• 0–2 years of experience in public relations, communications, or related fields.
• Internship experience in PR agencies or corporate communications is a plus.

Working Hours
• Full-time, Remote position.
• Flexible working hours with occasional requirements to meet deadlines or participate in client calls across different time zones.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong understanding of PR principles and media landscapes.
• Ability to draft compelling content for press releases, social media, and client communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with PR software such as Cision, Meltwater, or Muck Rack is desirable.
• Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
