Public Relations Account Coordinator (Media Relations)

The Account Coordinator serves as support on various accounts and is considered a 'rising' Account Manager role in the organization. You will learn to build strong client relationships and bring knowledge and skills to assigned accounts, taking on specialized areas of expertise on behalf of your accounts, corporate initiatives for iMPR and our entities, partners, and other matters related to iMPR... and our client's businesses.

This role offers an individual the opportunity to provide meaningful contributions to an account team, develop a deeper area of expertise and to learn best practices on account management related to both external relations and internal relations that have an impact on the ongoing success of the client. As an account coordinator you will be responsible for supporting social media activities and/or media relations activities, with SOW accountability for the key areas of expertise you bring to the roles.

In addition, as support to the Account Manager, you will be asked to learn iMPR's best practices for account management, take call notes, manage client projects in our CRM (Insightly), run reports including project reports, open reports, pick up reports, social media reports, monthly reports and other reports as the account may required. You will also be responsible for creating media briefing packets for clients, event planners, event guides, event reports and other types of documentation that support the team's collective efforts on the account.

In essence, this role is part account support; part media/analyst relations and/or part social media manager; and part champion for activities related to the client's SOW with iMPR.

Objectives of the Role:

The objective of the Account Coordinator role is to support all of the assigned client account activities to be able to deliver quality work on time and within the allotted account hours. As a 'rising' Account Manager, you will learn through observation and hands on activities iMPR's best practices for account management, and will be part of a team to ensure the collective group adheres to these best practices.

The Account Coordinators are a pillar of support for the account teams, jumping in on content, research, media/analyst relations and/or social media activities, bringing your knowledge, experience and learnings (as well as iMPR's best practices) to benefit the assigned client accounts, in alignment with iMPR's client SOWs.
