Public Policy & Advocacy Intern (Remote)
About the position Susan G. Komen is the only organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts including research, community health & public policy initiatives to make the biggest impact against this disease. Students will have direct supervision from their intern supervisor within the area they are assigned to. We are actively recruiting an Intern for our Fall 2025 semester for our Public Policy & Advocacy team. Ideally, we would love someone interested in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Government Affairs or other related fields. Responsibilities • Complete a minimum of 120 hours for the semester. • Participate in hands-on projects related to public policy and advocacy. • Collaborate with subject matter experts in the area of interest. • Engage in networking opportunities within the nonprofit industry. Requirements • Authorized to perform duties in the U.S. • Degree program must require an internship for graduation. • Actively enrolled in a 4 year or graduate degree program. • Must be enrolled in a class to receive academic credit. • Minimum G.P.A of 3.0. • Reliable internet access since this Internship is 100% remote. • Availability from August to November during Komen's hours of operation (Monday - Friday from 7am - 6pm CDT). • Available with a minimum of two four-hour blocks of time OR three three-hour blocks of time during the business week.
