The position serves as a professional consultant to state and local public health officials and other population health care providers in the review, analysis, and development of programs and training services related to public health HIV/STI care and prevention for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Bureau of HIV and STI Programs (BHSP). This position provides support and professional development opportunities for internal and external stakeholders and facilitates the provision of resource development supporting the Ryan White Program, HIV Prevention Program, and other sexual health programs provided through BHSP. See instructions for attaching files here: Education Possession of a master's degree in public health, health communication, health services administration, community development, urban planning, population and health sciences, international studies, political science, health policy or a public health related field such as nursing, epidemiology, health education, health economics, dietetics/nutrition management, genetics, or speech and audiology; a master's degree in social work; master's degree in counseling; master’s degree in education or special education with specialization in blind/visual disabilities; or a master’s degree in public or business administration with a health care concentration. Public Health Consultant 10 One year of professional, post-master's experience as a consultant in a field of public health equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 9. Public Health Consultant P11 Two years of professional, post-master's experience as a consultant in a field of public health equivalent to a Public Health Consultant, including one year equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 10. Position Location/Remote Office The physical location of this position will be 111 W. Edgewood Blvd, Suite 11, Lansing, MI 48911 or 3044 W Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan.
